Letter from Dwight Eisenhower

Dear Mr. Klein:

It is a real pleasure for me to greet you and Germania Broadcast upon the completion of twenty-five years of service to the German-speaking people of the Chicago metropolitan area.

Through the years your programs, so rich in educational and cultural values, have done a wonderful work in fostering a deep and abiding love for our country.

Never before in our history has our beloved land faced a more serious challenge. The threat of world Communism is the threat of War. This challenge can be met by the patriotism and dedication of our people, standing shoulder to shoulder. In building such a sense of oneness, your efforts over a quarter century are a mighty force for good.

I extend every wish for a gala celebration and for a future of continued service.

Sincerely yours,

Dwight D. Eisenhower
